PO O L C L O S U R E
The health and safety of our residents is our highest priority. The COVID-19 situation continues to develop rapidly, the Board of Directors would like to take a moment to communicate for precautionary measures we are closing down the pool area until further notice.
As part of our ongoing efforts to operate safely, we will be following the guidelines recommended by local health agencies and the US Center for Disease Control (CDC).
- According to the CDC ‘There is no evidence the COVID -19 can spread to humans through the use of pools and hot tubs. Proper operation, maintenance, and disinfection (e.g., with chlorine and bromine) of pools and hot tubs should remove or inactive the virus that causes COVID – 19.”
- Infecting Other Areas in the Pool Area – If someone is infected, how any surfaces will they touch on a normal visit to and from the pool? Anything they touch will be contaminated. Others who are not infected will then touch those same surfaces and become infected. You reach for a door handle and using the key fb. You are touching a communal shower tap. If you use the restroom, that’s a whole other series of doors and surfaces to navigate. You may also touch the pool furnishings or he grab bars to get out of the pool.
We will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation as it develops, and modify pool operations as needed. We thank you in advance for your patience and cooperation as we navigate this pandemic together.
